Privacy

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and has no forms. Fonts are served from this site, not from third parties.

The Public Mission page asks your browser to fetch public data directly from its sources: earthquakes and shakemaps from BMKG (data.bmkg.go.id, static/cdn.bmkg.go.id), hazard, population, boundary and fault data from BNPB InaRISK (gis.bnpb.go.id), and OpenStreetMap context from public Overpass servers (overpass-api.de, maps.mail.ru). Those requests go from your browser to those services, which therefore see your IP address and browser type, as with any website you visit.

To spare the free Overpass servers, the page keeps the OpenStreetMap context it last loaded in your browser’s local storage for up to six hours. It is map data only, it never leaves your browser, and you can clear it with your browser’s site-data controls. Live-traffic checks go through this site’s own server; no traffic provider is connected at present.

Interactive demonstrations (decisions, audit records) run entirely in your browser and disappear when you close the page. Nothing is sent to NOORX.

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.

Terms

Product demonstrations on this site use fictional people, organizations, places, assets, events and numbers. Any resemblance to real cases is coincidental.

The Public Mission is a demonstration on real public data. It is not an emergency service and must not be relied on for safety decisions. For official information and warnings, refer to BMKG and BNPB.

Capabilities are described as designed or intended. Nothing on this site is an offer, a certification or a guarantee.

Data attribution

  • Earthquake data and shakemaps: BMKG — Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika.
  • Hazard index, population grid 2020, administrative boundaries and fault lines: BNPB — Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana, InaRISK.
  • Health facilities, schools, settlements, roads and bridges: © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The frozen Sumba replay contains an extract of OpenStreetMap data under the same licence.
  • Basemap for the Public Mission: Natural Earth (public domain).
  • Place names for derived proximity: GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
  • Typeface: Inter, SIL Open Font License 1.1.
